| | Team Garmin-Sharp | | | | Garmin-Sharp has developed into one of the strongest and most admired teams in the UCI WorldTour and looks to continue its run of success in 2012.
Says Jonathan Vaughters, General Manager, "We had our strongest season in the history of the team in 2011, and we'll be looking to build on that success in 2012. Our roster has an outstanding mix of new and returning riders, with both veteran and young talent excelling in all disciplines of the sport. This will allow us to continue to do what we do best, win as a team."
For 2012, the Garmin-Sharp squad is very strong thanks to the sprinting skills of Tyler Farrar, classics riders Heinrich Haussler, Martijn Maaskant, Paris-Roubaix winner Johan Van Summeren, Fabian Wegmann, Andreas Klier, Ryder Hesjedal and David Millar.
The team is packed with experienced and consistently good stage racers. Christian Vande Velde leads the team because of his experience and intelligence but Tom Danielson, Dan Martin, Christophe Le Mevel and David Zabriskie will all vie for the position of team leader during the biggest races. Abundance of talent is a problem every team manager is happy to have.
Other standout riders in the Garmin-Sharp-Barracuda roster include Jack Bauer, Thomas Dekker, Koldo Fernandez, Nathan Haas, Ramunas Navardauskas, plus talented young American riders Pete Stetina, Andrew Talansky and new signings Jacob Rathe and Alex Howes.
